Email Spoofing – use of fraudulent email senders in campaigns

The goal of these types of emails is to create the credibility of the source of information. Not only the sender will be copied in the email, but also the design of the email, that way making it as similar as possible to the original. These types of consignments are made with a goal to deceive and/or steal personal data as well as infect the infrastructure of the company.

The challenge to protect a company from Email spoofing is nothing new, but since the beginning of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the 25th of May, ignoring this challenge can create risks for every company who has a website and who is engaged in email marketing.
